Home / Bee venom

Research-grade Apis mellifera venom.

Lyophilised, lot-traceable, characterised. We've spent years on the harvest and purification protocols so what reaches you is something you can plan an experiment around.

How we collect

Electrostimulation harvest at monitored Belgian apiaries — non-lethal, the colonies stay healthy. We collect on weather-stable days and chain-of-custody the raw material into cold storage within hours.

How we process

Foreign matter and bee debris removed, content checked for melittin and phospholipase A2, lyophilised to a clean stable powder. Aliquoted into small vials so you don't have to repeatedly thaw what you don't need.

What you get

A vial with a unique lot number. A certificate of analysis. A spec sheet with handling and storage notes. Direct contact with someone who knows the material if you need follow-up.

Hive to laboratory

What happens between the bees and your bench.

Collection

Non-lethal electrostimulation at registered apiaries. Colony health is the first priority — sick or stressed bees give bad venom.

Stabilisation

Raw venom scraped, kept under controlled humidity, and rapidly cold-stored. Active components stay active.

Purification

Foreign matter removed. The venom is freeze-dried into a stable powder you can weigh and dilute precisely.

Characterisation

Peptide profile checked, melittin and PLA2 content quantified, microbial screen, lot released with a certificate.

Why we don't sell it online.

Bee venom is a regulated material, and how you'll be using it usually affects how we should ship it. Vial format, total volume, paperwork — all of it depends on your project and your institution. So we keep the order process conversational.
