Recent studies suggest that bee venom could play a role in fighting certain types of cancer. Research shows that melittin can selectively target and kill cancer cells without harming healthy cells. It’s thought to disrupt cancer cell membranes, making it more challenging for tumors to grow and spread. This has led to promising results in laboratory studies for cancers like melanoma, breast cancer, and leukemia. Although more clinical trials are needed, the potential of bee venom as part of cancer treatment is an exciting area of medical research.
